Tim Arnold

About

Tim Arnold is a house DJ and producer based in Chicago — the birthplace of the music he has spent twenty years playing. His sets move through funky house, disco and tech house: warm, vocal, built for rooms where everyone is welcome on the dancefloor.

Since returning to the decks in 2024, he has become a fixture of Chicago’s queer nightlife — headline sets for MegaWoof Chicago, Furball and Bearracuda, a recurring home at Jackhammer, and the Beefbox Market Days kickoff during the city’s biggest street festival. Beefbox Radio, his long-running mix series, now broadcasts on video; Beefbox Records presses the edits.

The first act happened under another name. As Tim McLoone, he broke through at London’s Crash nightclub in 2006 and spent a decade as headliner for the parties that defined nightlife worldwide — MegaWoof in London, Furball in New York, Harbor City Bears and Daywash in Sydney. Forty episodes of Beefbox Radio carried that sound to a global audience before he stepped away in 2016.

The alias is retired. The record collection isn’t.
